Making video's has really become a big part of my life. It started as my escape goat, a reason not to be filmed by my parents and eventually it grew into something more. After acquiring a video camera (the Canon ZR600,left) I began making short films with my brother Shane. It led me to my first summer job. Working at Camp Burn Brae for creative arts. I was the video apprentice, kind of like an assistant teacher. I have taken a Film class in school, participated in the First Annual Greenfield Youth Film Festival, and who knows where I'll go from here.

Years ago I was asked "what do you want for your birthday?" and the only thing I could think of was a camera. It was a Canon A60(right), and at the time it was new and highly coveted, though mostly by me. Since then I've taken hundreds of pictures, experimented with digital and film cameras, and have taken photography classes in school. Being able to hold onto memories in this form has always been a joy of mine, and even if I never go beyond the high school level, I'll always take pictures just cause I love doing it.

Writer's Block

Writing has been a passion of mine since about the fourth grade. I remember we had to write a fictional story about whatever we want. That was when my creative vision first got a real test drive. The ideas poured out and I couldn't wait to get started. Since then I've become very interested in poetry and the works of Emily Dickinson. Also I've written tons of short stories, most still waiting for an ending. But I still write down all my ideas, because even when I drop a story there's always a good one to come out eventually. Hopefully I can finish the story I'm working on now.
